Obituary

Joanne Gloria Daigle, 64, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Londonderry, Wednesday, October 16, 2024. She was suffering from a gastrointestinal hernia that led to a blockage in her small intestine and unfortunately was not aware of the severity of the symptoms. She was born on January 20, 1960, to the late Ernest and Cecile (Bouvier) Desmarais, in Lowell, MA. She grew up and was educated in Dracut, MA.

Joanne had many joys in life. She enjoyed playing trivia and board games with her family, listening to music and attending concerts with her sons, and spending time at the park and going on walks. Most of all, Joanne cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. Along with her work as a nursing assistant for Home Helpers, she volunteered at the Palace Theatre as an usher manager. She was also a communicant for nearly 30 years of St. Jude's Parish, in Londonderry, NH.

Joanne is survived by her two sons that were everything to her: Eric Daigle, and his wife Stephanie, Andrew Daigle, and his wife Amy, and her beloved grandson: Colton Daigle whom she loved to play ball with; her siblings: Norm Desmarais and his wife, Barbara, Ron Desmarais and his wife Sharon, Diane Desmarais and her husband Tad Kitada, Sue Riddle and her husband, James, Priscilla Epstein and her husband, Howard, and Rick Desmarais and his wife, Susan; her nieces and nephews: Jeanne Cox, Denise Rodriguez, Katie Desmarais, Jason Epstein, Michael Epstein, Ashley Desmarais, Amy Desmarais, Kyle Desmarais, Erik Messier.

In addition to her parents, Joanne is predeceased by her brother: Rob Desmarais, her fiancé Philip Christian and a niece, Noelle Messier.
