Joan S.
Croteau
Jan 14, 1938 — Oct 21, 2024
Joan S. (Clement) Croteau, 86, lifelong resident of Lawrence, Ma, passed away suddenly at her home on Monday October 21, 2024.
She was born in Lawrence on January 14th 1938, to the late George and Angelina (Laurenza) Clement. Joan attended the Oliver Grammar School and later graduated from Lawrence High School. Upon receiving her nursing degree, she was awarded the Florence Nightingale Medal, for her outstanding dedication and commitment in the nursing program. Joan was a devout Catholic, an active parishioner and volunteer at Saint Patrick's Church for many years. She taught CCD and was a longtime member of the choir. Our mom had the biggest, most generous heart and ALWAYS put her family and others first. Her unconditional love, and unending generosity shined like a bright light and will forever be missed but never forgotten.
In her spare time, Joan loved going to thrift shops and shopping for a deal. In her later years she enjoyed coloring and above all, she cherished time with her children and grandchildren. She spent many days in their quiet little backyard paradise with her beloved late husband Paul and their loving, devoted daughter Paula who was always there to take care of her mom and dad's daily needs.
In addition to her parents, Joan is predeceased by her husband Paul J. Croteau and her son Kevin Croteau.
Joan is survived by her children Russell Croteau and his wife Robinlee of Derry, NH, Allen Croteau and his wife Gina of Derry, NH, Paula Roy of Lawrence, MA and Lisa Lee and her husband Norman of Danville, NH; her grandchildren Joshua, Lauren, Tyler, Kelsey, Kyle, Angie, Ray, Alyssa and Damian; her great-grandchildren Sonny, Lily, Cameron, Olivia, Jeremy, Luis, Evelyn, Riley, Kaiden and Kolten; her brothers James "Butch" Clement and George "Buddy" Clement.
