Jeannine Marchand, 83, of Methuen, MA, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 25, 2022, at Henry C. Nevins Nursing Home, Methuen, MA. She was born in Lawrence MA to the late Paul Emile Lachance and Lumina Marie Lachance.
Jeannine grew up in Lawrence and graduated from Lawrence High. She attended several courses Northern Essex Community College and had a career at Western Electric where she took early retirement to enjoy her family.
Jeannine had many joys in life; she enjoyed traveling throughout US and Canada, and had many great experiences with her family and childhood friends. In her quieter years, her pleasures were listening to country music and watching westerns. Her favorite actor was John Wayne. She took great pleasure in bird watching and enjoying dogs. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family. She was a wonderful Mom, grandmother, aunt, neighbor, and friend who will be greatly missed.
Jeannine is survived by her daughter: Cheryl Boucher and her partner Keith Oatman of Sandown, NH; her grandchildren: Stephanie Boucher and her partner Billy Fichera of Hampstead, NH, Nicholas Marchand of Arizona; her great-grandchild: Corbin Fichera; and her siblings: Marie "Liz" Bricault of Derry, NH, and Roland Lachance of Lecanto Florida. Sister in laws including Jean Lachance of Sutton, NH; Loraine Lachance of Salem, NH and Bernadette Lachance of Salem, NH.
In addition to her parents, Jeannine is predeceased by her son: Roger Marchand; and her siblings: Aurele "Al", Claude, Richard "Dick", Robert 'Bob", Gerard "Jerry" Lachance.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022, from 1-3 PM, at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. A funeral service will take place immediately following at 3 PM, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, P.O.
