Obituary

Jeanette Eva Boyce, 83, of Windham, NH, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. She was born on July 6, 1943, in Portland, ME, to the late Raymond and Geraldine (Lawson) Guinard.

Jeanette received her B.S. in Education from University of Maine at Orono. She proudly coached the first Varsity Women's Soccer Team at Westford Academy and continued to coach soccer into the early 90’s.

Once her children had grown, Jeanette challenged herself with returning to school as an adult, later receiving her master’s degree from Rivier. It was because of her return to school later in life that she was able to make a successful career for herself as a CPA.

In her retirement, Jeanette took joy in the slower and more relaxed life. She enjoyed playing Mahjong and cards with her friends from Windham Meadows and creating stained glass art and also remaining an active member of her senior citizens community. A true New England native, she was also sure to cheer on her Sox, Bruins, and Pats whenever possible.

Jeanette was a gentle spirited woman who thought first and foremost for others. She was caring and quiet, willing to help anyone who needed it, and a beloved Nana to her six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Jeanette leaves behind her life partner and companion of 18 years, Robert “Bob” Hartnett and her beloved children, Andrew Boyce and his wife Sheila of Groton, MA, Heather Dorval and her husband Alain of Cypress, TX, and Michelle Duplease of Milford, NH; grandchildren, Ricky Duplease and his wife Haley, Tyler Dorval and his partner Harrison Hande, Hannah Boyce, Alex Dorval, Brendan Boyce and his wife Evelyn, and Celeste Boyce; great-grandchildren, Levi and Jett Duplease; sister-in-laws, Judy Guinard and Kathy Elefterakis; niece, Anne Boynton.

In addition to her parents, Jeanette was predeceased by her brother, Wilfred “Bill” Guinard.

Visitation will take place on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 3-5pm, at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. A burial will take place in the future at the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Chelmsford, MA.
