Jaya Bhagavan Patel, 82, of Billerica, MA, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with Dementia on Monday, January 27, 2025, at the Northwood Rehabilitation and Nursing Home, in Lowell, MA, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 15, 1943, to the late Hemchandbhai and Valiben Patel, in Gujarat, India.

In India, Jayaben was a teacher. She saw value in teaching the youth in Gujarat and found her calling in education. When she moved to America, she changed gears and became an assembler for Alpha Industries. In her free time, Jayaben loved to sew and attend services at Satsang temple in Woburn. Above all, the family held a special place in Jayaben's heart. She was a devout caretaker and grandmother. Jayaben will always be remembered as a pillar in her community.

Jayaben is survived by her husband of many years: Bhagavan Patel; their children: Hetal Patel, and his wife Sonali Roy, of Westford, MA, and Sachin Patel, of Billerica, MA; her grandchildren: Jinal, Nirvana, and Eva; her late siblings: Somabhai Patel, Kantibhai Patel, Shardaben Patel, and Lilaben Patel; as well as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
