Janet Geraldine Gagne, 81 of Epsom, NH passed away at home surrounded by her family, on Sunday, August 13, 2023 after a prolonged illness.

Born in Lawrence, MA, Janet lived in Salem, NH and was an active member of Saints Mary and Joseph Parish for 50 years. Janet was a lecturer, Eucharistic minister, and leader of St. Joseph's Consolers.

Janet was a homemaker, loving mother to five children, and devoted wife to Donald H. Gagne, Sr. for 61 years.

Janet was happiest when surrounded by her family. Her open door policy and "the more the merrier" attitude earned her the nickname "Mom" to many of her children's friends and expanded her family tenfold. Holidays and other family gatherings were among her most favorite times, her children being the things most important to her. She had a wonderful sense of humor, loved playing jokes, and laughing till she cried.

She is survived by her husband Donald, her children Donald H. Gagne, Jr. and his wife Roseline of Sanbornton, NH, Donna Martin of Byrdstown, TN, Dee-Ann Gagne of Nashua, NH, Dean Gagne and his wife Samara of Hooksett, NH, and Denyce Gagne of Epsom, NH; grandchildren Brittany, Samuel, and Noah; and great grandchildren Weston, Maverick, and Sawyer.

Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours on Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Joseph Church, 40 Main Street, Salem, NH on August 17, immediately followed by a funeral Mass at 12:00 PM.
