Obituary

James "Jim" Gray, 81, of Londonderry, NH, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, June 3, 2024, at All American Assisted Living. He was born on December 9, 1942, to the late Theresa (Bakey) Gray, in Cambridge, MA.

A true patriot, Jim served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War era. He was stationed in Caribou, Maine, where he was a jet engine mechanic on B-52 Bombers.

Growing up with a single mom, Jim made his successful life out of very little. Jim was a Senior Purchasing Manager at Digital Equipment Corporation for 25 years and another 5 with IBM before retiring and starting his own businesses. He owned a shoe shine and repair shop, and later a golf cart repair and detailing business while realizing his dream of living on a golf course, in Bluffton, South Carolina.

In his free time, Jim enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved to play golf and racquetball, watch sports on tv, and decorating their home, especially for Halloween. Jim loved to swim and was even a Lifeguard in his earlier years. Jim will always be remembered as a hard worker, a kid at heart and forever the life of the party.

Jim is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patricia M. (MacLean); their children: Scott Gray, of Norwalk, CT, Tricia Fraizer, and her husband Jason, of Litchfield, NH, and James "Jamie" Gray, of Loxahatchee, FL; and his grandchildren: Ashley, Kaitlyn, Ryan, Connor, and Riley.

In addition to his mother, Jim is predeceased by his brother: Robert Gray.
