Ines R. (Freda) Height, 73, longtime resident of Reading, MA, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 7, 2024, at Epsom Healthcare Center.
Ines was born on October 23, 1950, to the late Joseph and Alexandria (Lopresti) Freda in Medford, MA. She was raised in Reading and attended local schools. Ines raised her four children as a single mother while receiving her degree in nursing. After graduating and beginning her career at Boston City Hospital, she enlisted in the United States Army Reserve, where she served for 16 years as a nurse earning the rank of Major. While serving as a reservist, she began working at the Tufts Medical Center, from where she would retire many years later.
She will be remembered as the life of the party and for her love of dancing. Above all, Ines cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Ines is survived by her children Michelle Muise and her husband Don of St. Petersburg, FL, Michael Height and his wife Shannon of Derry, NH, Alexandria Dague and her husband Chad of Windham, NH and John Height and his wife Mandy of Derry, NH; grandchildren Michael Muise, Cpl Thomas Height USMC, Nicolette Height, Eli Dague, Grace Height, Anna Height, Charlotte Dague and Katie Height; great grandchildren Daphne, Ava and Palmer; and brothers Joey and Jimmy.
She is predeceased by her brother Salvatore and sister Debbie.
Friends and family are invited to Calling Hours on Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 4-8 PM, at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024, at 11 AM, at St. Matthew's Parish, 2 Searles Road, Windham, NH 03087. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
