Homer Howard Hamlin, 90, of Salem, NH passed away on Friday morning, February 9th, 2024, at Salemhaven.
He was born on May 5, 1933, in Littleton NH, to Hilda (Hill) Osgood and Howard Hutchins Hamlin. Homer was raised in Claremont, NH and graduated from Steven's High School. He went on to earn his Bachelor's degree at New England College and his Master's Degree at Northeastern University. Homer then began his career in education teaching history and eventually became the principal of the Dr. Lewis F. Soule School in Salem, NH for 24 years until his retirement. He was also an active member of the Salem Lion's Club.
He enjoyed his retirement with his partner Gwen Beaudoin splitting time between their homes in Florida and Canada. They enjoyed golf, traveling and especially spending time with family and friends.
Homer is survived by his loving children Camela St. Gelais and her husband Michael of Derry, NH, and Steven Hamlin and his wife Lisa of Salem, NH; his grandchildren Kyle Hamlin and Catherine Hamlin, Ryan St. Gelais and his wife Kristin, Danielle Ellston and her husband Aaron, Nicole Zimmerman, and her husband Cameron; his great-grandchildren Owen, Logan, Annabelle, Leo, and Eli. Homer is predeceased by his son Howard Hamlin, his partner Gwen Beaudoin, and his previous wife Sandra Raymond.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 16th from 10 AM to 12 PM, at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087.
