Herbert J. Herold Jr., 81, of East Kingston, NH, passed away Friday, December 8, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 4, 1942, to the late Herbert J. and Evelyn (Clement) Herold, in Methuen, MA. He was raised and educated in Salem, NH, graduating from Salem High School.

Herbert was a man of the job. For the past 58 years he has worked for Merrill's Excavating, in Salem, NH. When he was not at work, Herbert was never afraid of getting his hands dirty, spending his time working on his family's farm.

Herbert is survived by his son: Richard "Rich" Herold, and his wife Melissa, of Londonderry, NH; companion Sandra Camire, of East Kingston, NH; his grandchildren: Ryan Herold, and his wife Sabrina, and Kelsey Herold.

In addition to his parents, Herbert is predeceased by: Eileen (Morgan) and his sister: Kathy Woods.
