Gregory Todd Alley-Violette, 52, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on April 21, 2024 after a long, hard-fought battle with cancer.  Those who had the privilege of knowing Todd, know his personality was larger than life itself - he always wanted to "go big, or go home". Whether it was family, friends, coworkers, or complete strangers, Todd's generosity knew no bounds. As he traveled around Maine, New Hampshire, and North Carolina, Todd had a knack for making a difference and finding lifelong friends.

In his early years, he was a fierce competitor on the football field - playing for John Bapst and Maine Central Institute. After graduating from MCI (1989), he attended the University of Maine at Orono where he found a home at Alpha Gamma Rho.  After leaving college, he dabbled in many professions - bouncer, insurance salesman, and part-time police officer; but, his life changed when he began working in schools as an ed tech, Jobs for Maine's Graduate Specialist, and special education teacher.  Here he found his passion teaching, advocating, and coaching students - both on and off the field.  He coached track and field, basketball, soccer and football at Penquis Valley High School in Milo, ME,  Fort Fairfield High School, Windham High School and Sanborn Regional High School in Kingston, NH. In 2010, he was celebrated as Maine Class D Coach of the Year. His passion for mentoring young athletes extended beyond the game. He instilled values of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship in every player with whom he worked.

While teaching, advocating, and coaching were his passion, in 1995, he found his calling when he met the love of his life, best friend, and future wife, Kerrie Everett, in Higgins Market in Fort Fairfield.  With Kerrie, Todd found confidence to be his best self and support to finish college, find his passion, and have three amazing girls - Abhi, Hannah, and Jennifer.  His divas were, without a doubt, the center of his world and were the reason that he was always "living the dream".

Todd was predeceased by his mother, Cathy Alley, his sister, Jennifer (Clemons) Novak, and uncle, Richard Alley.  Todd is survived by his wife Kerrie (Everett) and daughters Abhi, Hannah and Jennifer; in-laws James and Karen Everett; father and step-mother, John and Karen Violette; brother, Carl Wilson and wife Sophia; sisters Jimly Harris and Jo Wilson; and several nieces and nephews and a multitude of special friends.

While the world may seem a little dimmer without his presence, Todd's memory lives on through the lives he touched. His coaching legacy, his kindness, and his zest for life continue to inspire those who knew him.

Calling hours will be held on April 29, 2024, 4:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. at Carrier Family Funeral Home, Windham, NH.  The family invites all to join the celebration of Todd's life on May 11, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Celebration Center, Fort Fairfield, ME.
