Gerald R. "Jerry" La Rochelle, 83, of Windham, NH, passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 6, 2026, at his home with his family by his side. He was born on August 30, 1942, to the late George La Rochelle and Florence (Cote), in Lowell, MA.
Jerry's faith in Jesus Christ was the primary principle of how he lived his life. He was a communicant for many years at St. Matthew's Catholic Church. Jerry was also the Charter Deputy and past Grand Knight for St. Matthew's Council #7572.
As much as he loved his family he also loved his country. He served in the United States Marine Corps for six years as a Corporal E-4. He had received many medals and accommodations during his active duty as a Jet Mechanic.
In his free time, Jerry had many hobbies. An outdoorsman at heart, Jerry enjoyed hunting and fishing. Jerry shared his love of art through his colorings that he distributed throughout his family , friends, and his community. His colorings was his own ministry, that made him famous. He will be remembered as the life of the party, who enjoyed making everyone laugh.
Jerry is survived by his children: Christine Anne La Rochelle, and her husband Michael Gudzevich, of Manchester, NH, Michelle Colleen "Shelly" Eaton, and her husband Jason, of Londonderry, NH, and Kerry Anne Bean, and her husband Ronald, of Derry, NH; his brother: Thomas La Rochelle; his grandchildren: Lilith La Rochelle, Shane La Rochelle, Jason Eaton Jr., Tristan Eaton, Kachiri Eaton and fiancé James Witham, Chantel La Rochelle, and her husband Zach Forys-Houde, Hailey Bean, MaKenna Bean, Brandon Diniz and his fiancé Tanya Darocha and Daniella Scianatico; his great-grandchildren: Oliver, Beau, and Harper; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jerry is predeceased by his wife of 53 years: Justine Anne (Donovan) La Rochelle; and his siblings: Donald La Rochelle, Joyce La Rochelle, and John La Rochelle.
Friends and family are invited to Calling Hours on Monday, May 11, 2026, from 4-8 PM, at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 12:30 PM, at Saint Matthew's Catholic Church, 2 Searles Road, Windham, NH 03087.
