George Edward Partridge Jr., 66, of Lawrence, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at his home, while surrounded by his beloved family. He was born on June 12, 1959, in Methuen, to the late George Sr. and Evelyn (Divine) Partridge.

George grew up and was educated in North Andover. He made a career for himself in trucking, having been inspired by his father and uncle, who were also successful truckers. He was a quiet and easy-going man who enjoyed his time out on the open road. George was hardworking, genuine, and had the biggest heart. He always thought of others before himself and was known for being quick-witted, a jokester, and someone who could fix just about anything with duct tape.

George met the love of his life while she was working as a waitress at Dunkin’ Donuts. From the moment he laid eyes on Ann Marie (Beaudoin), he knew she was the one. The two were married on May 23, 1987, and shared a beautiful 39 years together as husband and wife, as well as best friends.

In his free time, George loved surrounding himself with nature. He enjoyed boating, fishing, going to the beach, long car rides, and going out to eat. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family. He was an avid fan of the Boston Bruins and could often be found cheering them on. George also loved his hot dogs, seafood, and Hellmann’s mayonnaise. Those who knew him best could always count on hearing some of his favorite sayings: “Just do it,” “It’s a catch 22,” “6 of 1, half dozen of the other,” and “Smile.”

George was the patriarch of his family, a devoted husband, loving father, role model, and the best “Grampy” anyone could ask for. His grandchildren, Anthony, who he lovingly referred to as his “buddy,” and Isabella, his “little clown,” brought him endless joy. He will be tremendously missed by his family, who are forever grateful for every moment they shared with him.

George is survived by his wife and best friend, Ann Marie (Beaudoin) Partridge; his children, Amanda Partridge and her partner Mark Deramo of Bradford, George Partridge III of Haverhill, and Jessica Partridge of Lawrence; his beloved grandchildren, Anthony and Isabella Deramo; in addition to several members of his extended family.

Visitation will take place on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 3pm–6pm, at the Carrier Family Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will then follow beginning at 6pm at the funeral home.

Because of the tremendous care that George received during his time in need, memorial donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute or to Tufts Medicine Care at Home.
