George P. Aboshar, 77, longtime resident of Salem, NH, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill.

George was born on September 5, 1947, to the late Norman and Edna (LaPointe) Aboshar in Lawrence, MA. He was raised in South Lawrence and was a graduate of Lawrence High School class of 1965. George went on to attend Franklin Pierce College, where he received his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He worked as a Senior Sourcing Specialist for BAE Systems in Nashua, NH for over 30 years.

In his free time, George enjoyed to golf at many local courses. He was also an avid shooter and a member at Country Pond Fish and Game in Newton, NH.

George is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Elaine (DiMauro) Aboshar; his children Brian Aboshar and his wife Molly of Derry, NH, Eric Aboshar and his wife Amy of Barrington, NH and Meagen Burgos and her husband Luis of Salem, NH: his grandchildren Alex, Ashleigh, Arianna, Logan, Olivia, Addison and Ella; and his siblings Norman, Michael, Jeff, Kim and Kristen.

Visitation will take place on Monday, September 9, 2024, from 4 – 7PM at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 10AM at the funeral home, with interment to follow at St. Mary Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Methuen, MA.
