Gary F. Callahan, 76 of Salem, NH, died peacefully on Sunday at Penacook Place, Haverhill, MA.

Gary was born in Lawrence, MA to the late Joseph F. and Yvonne (Lucier) Callahan. He grew up and was educated in Lawrence, MA, where he graduated from Lawrence High School in 1964. He was a resident of Salem, NH for the past 46 years.

Gary was a retired telephone electrician for Verizon and was a member of the IBEW. He enjoyed going out to eat and going for rides in the car. He loved cars, especially his candy red Cobra. Most of all Gary enjoyed spending time with his wife on cruises and Foxwoods. He also loved to watch westerns and war movies, and had a love for music, especially Buddy Holly. Gary's pride and joy, above all, was his family. He looked forward to times together, holiday gatherings, and in his later years, watching his grandson's activities like ice hockey and piano.

Gary was predeceased by his beloved wife Ann Marie (Kanan) Callahan.

He is survived by his sons: Joseph and his wife Lisa Callahan of Raymond, NH and Brian and his wife Erika Callahan of Atkinson, NH, and his Grandson Reid Callahan.

Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours on Friday, June 2nd from 4-7 PM, followed by a funeral service at 7 PM at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Rd, Windham, NH. Cremation will follow.
