Gary B. Lake, 65, of Chester, NH, also known to many as "Buff," passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022.  He was born on December 11 ^th , 1956 to Emily (Welsh) and Eli Lake in Grand Bank, Newfoundland, Canada, and was raised in Saugus, MA.  He owned a home improvement business and later went on to utilize his mechanical and fabrication skills as a master mechanic in the Local 4.

Buff's knowledge, talent, and workmanship were greatly admired and appreciated as he went above and beyond in all that he did. There was no task he wouldn't tackle with enthusiasm. He loved the Lord with all his heart and demonstrated this in his volunteering and acts of kindness for others. He enjoyed making fond memories at the family's camp in Bridgton, Maine.  His passions were tinkering in "the barn," especially big projects- fabricating his jet boat, the "Poco Loco" and "Tundra Bus." He had great ATV adventures with family and friends and especially loved his trips in Arizona. He also enjoyed memorizing and reciting poetry.  He's our beloved "Goofy Newfie."

Gary was a devoted family man and leaves behind his loving wife of 40 years, Janet (Leather) Lake; his daughters, Jennifer Lake, Andrea Lake, Sharon Shallow and husband, Tom Shallow, his grandchildren- Thomas and Millie, and his brother, Donald Lake.  He is predeceased by his parents- Emily and Eli Lake, and his sister, Janice Lamm.
