Windham
Frederick Leon Chesbrough III, 79, of Windham, NH, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at The Residence at Salem Woods in Salem, NH. He was born on November 26, 1943, to the late Fredrick L. Chesbrough, Jr and Edith (Woolacott) Hart, in Leominster, MA.
Freddie, aka Sonny, grew up in N. Smithfield, RI, raised by his stepfather, Walter T. Hart, fondly remembered working on the local farm summers and after school. Fred enlisted in the Navy and served honorably aboard the USS Albany, worked in the engine room of this heavy cruiser, and then in the Naval Reserve. He spent 20 years on the road as a trucker with Allied Trucking, a national car hauler where he maintained a perfect driving and delivery record. In his spare time, he enjoyed vacationing with family, maintained a meticulous yard and garden, enjoyed woodworking, and listened to big band music. For over 25 years Fred served the Lord and his church, Bread of Life, and could be counted on to tackle any project needed. On January 11, 1997, he married the love of his life, Janet D. Smith (Dourney).
In addition to his wife Janet, Freddie is survived by his daughter: Kim Myrick, of LA; his step daughters: Barbara Jacoby, and her husband Mitchell, of NH; Diane Casavecchia, and her husband John, of RI; his sisters: Marilyn Briggs, and her husband George, and Gail Feddern; his brother in law: Dick Loring; his grandchildren Karis Arruda, and her husband Brandon, Jordan Casavecchia, Taylor Jacoby and his wife Meagan, Carter Jacoby and his wife Hannah, and Hunter Jacoby; Desiree Myrick, Justin Myrick, Madlyn Myrick, and his great grandchildren: Elliana, Margo, Silas, and Maverick.
