Frederick 'Fred' Joseph Greene, 62, passed away after battling cancer on Friday, March 6th, 2026, with loving family by his side. Fred was born on October 31st, 1963, to Richard Greene and the late Rose (Bangs) Putnam and was raised alongside Rose and John Putnam in Newton NH.

He enjoyed reading from many different authors, Stephen King and Brian Lumley being among his favorites. His love of music was well-known, especially Pink Floyd, and often played golf, mini-golf, and pool. He was also a big fan of the New England Patriots. He loved his children and did his best to always be there for them in any way he could.

Fred is survived by his children: Robert Greene and his wife Tanya Greene, Jeffrey Greene, Christopher Greene, and Crystal Greene. He is also survived by his siblings: Richard "Dick" Greene, Trixie Mears, Guy Putnam, and Johnny Putnam. He is pre-deceased by his brother Tony Greene. Fred is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
