Obituary

Frank O'Dell, 73, of Salem, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 14, 2025, surrounded by family at Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH.

Frank was born on September 9, 1952, in Beacon, New York, to the late Irving "Bud" and Marie O'Dell. He was raised in Cold Spring, NY, where he attended local schools and built the foundation for a life defined by hard work, leadership, and dedication to family and community. Following high school, Frank proudly served in the United States Navy, spending the majority of his service touring the Mediterranean.

Frank was a serial entrepreneur with a drive to build and lead. Over the years, his ventures included ownership of a semi-professional basketball team (New Hampshire Thunder Loons), an international trading company (ITEX), and a limousine company (Real Sense Limousine), before ultimately founding and operating a medical transportation business (Real Care Transportation), a business that reflected his commitment to helping others.

Baseball was one of Frank's greatest passions. He devoted countless hours to the sport, serving as a coach and President of Salem NH Youth Baseball. In this role, he helped initiate the first regional Babe Ruth baseball tournament in Salem, NH. His participation in Salem Youth Baseball has left a lasting impact on generations of young athletes and the local baseball community.

In his free time, Frank enjoyed playing golf and cheering on his favorite teams, the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. Above all, he treasured time spent with his family, especially his eight beloved grandchildren, who were the true joys of his life.

Frank is survived by his loving wife, Donna (Lynch) O'Dell; his children Laurie Rollins and her husband Larry of Danville, NH; Frank O'Dell and his wife Julie of Sandown, NH; Joseph O'Dell and his fiancée Kayla of Merrimack, NH; and Branden Newman of Hampstead, NH; his cherished grandchildren Alyssa, Jacob, Jade, Dylan, Brody, Isaac, River, and Stella; his brothers Michael and Timothy O'Dell; and several nieces and nephews.
