After a courageous three-year battle with cancer, Frank H. Howe Jr., 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones at exactly the stroke of midnight on April 8, 2024. Frank was born in Melrose, MA to Jacqueline (Pujol) Howe (predeceased) and Frank H. Howe (predeceased). He resided in Windham, NH for the past 27 years as well as Myrtle Beach, SC.

Growing up in a military family, Frank's love for the Army ran deep. He graduated from Norwich University in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and concluded his nearly 30 years of military service reaching the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. As a proud veteran, he continued to support the military by working in logistics management at the U.S. Army Natick Soldier Research Development and Engineering Center where he retired (for the first time) in 2014. Not able to sit still or stay away from the military for long, Frank returned to work as a military instructor for Parsons Corporation and Northrop Grumman.

Frank was a lifelong learner, king of dad jokes, and self-declared connoisseur of leisure. Frank found the time to obtain another Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Salem State University and a Master of Science in Business Administration and Management from Central Michigan University. He started each day reading local newspapers and the Wall Street Journal. In his spare time, Frank was an avid genealogist, enjoyed building n scale train scenes, and watching the Bruins and Norwich hockey every chance he got. Frank also enjoyed simple pleasures like spending time outside doing yard work and taking rides up the New England coast with his wife in his beloved mustang.

Most importantly, Frank was a devoted husband, dad, and granddad. He was always up for an adventure with his family, whether it was learning to snowboard at the age of 52 or taking a very last-minute trip to Scranton, Pennsylvania to attend the Office (TV show) Convention. Frank was known for his willingness to lend a helping hand, provide a listening ear, and give sound advice.

Frank will be forever missed, and we will continue to honor his legacy by living our lives to the fullest. Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Alison (MacLeod) Howe, and his daughters: Michelle Howe of Danvers, MA, Julie Turner and her husband, Jason Turner of San Diego, CA, Jessica Handley and her husband, Ross Handley of Charlotte, NC, and Emily Howe of Charleston, SC, his grandsons: Owen and Landon Turner, as well as Frank's "spirited" dog, Molly.

Visiting hours will be held at the Carrier Family Funeral Home (38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087) on Monday, April 15 from 5-7 p.m. Relatives and "F.O.F.s" ("friends of Frank" as he liked to say) are invited to attend. A celebration of life and interment will be held at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery (110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH 03303) on Tuesday, April 16 at 2 p.m.

Frank liked to say, "always leave things better than you found them" and Frank left this Earth having made it a much better place.
