Francis P. Farmer

Francis P. “Frank” Farmer, 80, of Windham, NH, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Pleasant Valley Nursing & Rehab, with his family by his side. He was born on November 25, 1945, to the late Francis J. Farmer and Ellen (McDonnell), in Roxbury, MA.

Frank’s family was everything to him. He enjoyed the moments they spent together, especially with his grandchildren. Frank enjoyed the trips he took with his family in their travel trailer. A man of the town, Frank was quite involved in all things “Windham”. Frank was a volunteer call firefighter in the 1980s, served on the Cemetery Committee, the Griffin Park Planning Committee, the HDC, the Historical Society, and he even painted the baseball logo at the Rogers Park concession stand. Frank was also a member of the Boy Scouts of America Troop 266, and the former Commander of American Legion Post 109. Frank was always very intrigued in his family history and enjoyed tracing his genealogy back generations.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of over 56 years: Diane (Walker) Farmer, of Windham, NH; their children: Brian Farmer, and his wife Tracy, of Danville, NH, Krystin Aylward, and her husband Stephen, of Exeter, RI, Devin Farmer, and his wife Kathleen, of Milford, CT, and Iain Farmer, and his wife Ashley, of Salem, NH; his brother: Jack Farmer, and his wife Marian and his many nieces and nephews. Frank dearly loved his eight grandchildren: Braiden, Anthony, Kayleigh, Aislin, Eden, Rowan, Mairead, and Evelyn.

In addition to his parents, Frank is predeceased by his siblings: Thomas Farmer, and Mary Carlow.

Friends and family are invited to Calling Hours on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 2-4 PM, at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. A Funeral Service will begin at 4 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be private to the family at a later date, at the Cemetery on the Plain, Windham, NH.
