Evelyn Marie Hinton of Salem, New Hampshire, passed away on October 24,2023 in Methuen, Massachusetts, with her loving family by her side. She was born on July 9, 1936, to John Robb and Ethel (Moore) Igo in Malden, Massachusetts.

Evelyn worked for over twenty years at Salem Haven as a nutritionist prior to her retirement. In her youth, she spent her time roller-skating and playing the Spanish guitar, as well as listening to reggae and jazz music.  She was also a fan of York Beach in Maine and was known to speak fondly of her visits there. Upon her retirement, she enjoyed spending her time on lunch dates with her friends and playing cards at the clubhouse.

Eveyln's greatest achievement in life was raising her five children. She enjoyed cooking Irish boiled dinners for her family and was known to hand-sew all of her children's clothing when they were young. They will all remember her for her discipline in raising them, as well as for her ability to simply "have a good time."

Evelyn is survived by her children, Robin Doughtery of Corona, CA, Russell Hinton and wife Rosalind Ryan of Sandown, NH, Linda Dion and her husband Gary of East Derry, NH, Donna Ranger of Hooksett, NH, and Christine Steeves and her husband Todd of Salem, NH; as well as numerous loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Evelyn was predeceased by her son-in-law, Doc.
