Emma E. Dumont passed away on March 31, 2025. She was a resident at Salemhaven in Salem, NH for over three years.

She was born in Lawrence, MA in 1926 to Arthur and Emilia Croteau. She grew up in Lawrence, MA and graduated from Sacred Heart School. Emma worked in the mills in Lawrence, stitching shoes and continued stitching shoes in Salem, NH, first in a factory and then in her home at 9 Haigh Ave. in Salem, NH. She and her husband Robert, whom she married in 1949 moved to Salem, NH in 1957 and then moved to Tamarac, FL in 1982. In 2014 she moved back to Salem, NH, where she resided until her passing.

She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years Robert Dumont, her three siblings, brothers Robert Croteau and sister-in-law Edna, Eugene Croteau and sister-in-law Eunice and her sister Adele Carrier and brother-in-law Leonard.

She is survived by her son Bill and his wife Lisa, nephews and nieces and their spouses. We want to thank the staff at Salemhaven for their wonderful care of Emma.

Friends and family are invited to calling hours on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, from 9 - 11 AM at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Matthew Parish, 2 Searles Road Windham, NH at 11:30 AM with burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Andover, MA.
