Eleanor M. Bouchard, 87, of Methuen, MA, passed away on Thursday morning, September 24, 2026, at the Merrimack Valley Hospital.

She was born on January 20, 1939, to Ida and Leo Dumont. Eleanor was raised in Lawrence, Massachusetts, attended local schools, and graduated from St. Anne’s High School. She went on to begin her career with Western Electric, working for their Methuen and Boston locations. After starting her family and focusing on raising her young family, she later worked for the Bank of New England.

Eleanor married the love of her life, Robert R. Bouchard, in 1960, and the couple raised their son, Mark in Methuen. The couple were very involved in St. Theresa’s church and participated or hosted many of the church’s social events. Eleanor enjoyed weekend trips with Bob to Boston and spending summers at Old Orchard with extended family.

She is survived by her son, Mark Bouchard and his wife Dawn; her grandson, Nicholas Robert Bouchard; her great-grandchildren, Declan, Allesandra, Natalie, Isabelle, and Andrew; as well as many dear friends.

In addition to her parents, Eleanor was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert Bouchard; and her sister, Jacqueline Cayer.

Services will be private for the family.
