Elaine May Petrucci, 79, of Salem, New Hampshire, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at the Parkland Medical Center with her sister, Maria, by her side. She was born on May 3, 1944, in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Gaetano and Philomena (Poto) Martignetti.
Elaine worked for over 20 years as a payroll supervisor for the Boston City Hall. She was an avid fan of the lottery, and later moved on to work as a lottery ticket cashier at Pica's Pub and Grill in Methuen, Massachusetts prior to her retirement. In her free time, she enjoyed volunteering with several local charities.
Elaine was a straight-forward woman, who was always the first to "tell it like it is." Her friends and family will remember her as being the life of any party.
Elaine is survived by her sister Maria, as well as her nieces and nephews; Michael Cartolano and his wife June, Charles "Chuck" Palazzolo, Anthony Cartolano, Gina Cartolano, Dante Cartolano, Victor Palazzolo, Dennis Raineri and his wife Karen.
In addition to her parents, Elaine was predeceased by her loving husband of many years, Benedict Petrucci, as well as her sister, Claire Cartolano and lifelong friend, Frida Smith.
Friends and Family are invited to attend a period of visitation on Monday, August 14th from 10:30 to 11:30AM at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, New Hampshire 03087. A Funeral Mass will immediately follow, beginning at 12:00PM at Saint Matthew's Parish, 2 Searles Road, Windham, New Hampshire 03087. Burial will be held at 3pm at the New Hampshire Veteran's Cemetery in Boscawen, New Hampshire. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Lung Association by visiting www.lung.org.
