Edward "Gene" Wlodyka, 76, of Salem, NH, passed away suddenly on Friday, May 31, 2024.

He was born on July 18, 1947, to the late Edward and Ida (Longo) Wlodyka.

He was raised and educated in Methuen before purchasing the family estate with his loving wife in Salem, NH.  Gene and his brothers were proud business owners of the Kenya Club, Sharkey's Club, Gold Star Subs and Tower Hill Variety. After spending much of his career as a self-employed businessman, he also worked as a Department Manager at the Home Depot in Salem, NH for an impressive 25 years.

In his free time, Gene enjoyed actively involving himself in his son and daughter's business, Daily Dose Café in Lawrence, (www.dailydosecafe.com for next week's specials, Thank You Dad).  He was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge in Lawrence and enjoyed volunteering at various community events with his family, such as the Roger Twomey Veteran's Breakfast, Tower Hill Neighborhood Association and National Night Out events. He enjoyed taking his family on Sunday drives all through New England, traveling with his wife Sue,  listening to Elvis and playing Yahtzee for hours with his wife. Above all else, he was a family man, who loved spending time with his loved ones which also included his fur grandbabies cat Mooshi and dog Lexie.

Gene is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Susan (Schroeder) as well as their children, Keith Wlodyka of Salem NH and Marnie Wlodyka of Salem, NH; sister, Jeanette DeNuccio, of Methuen; brother, Clement Wlodyka, of FL; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his brothers, James and Thomas Mignanelli.

Friends and relatives are invited to visitation on Wednesday, June 5, from 4pm – 7pm at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH. A Funeral Service will follow immediately after at 7pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the MSPCA at 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844 in Gene's name.
