Douglas Anthony Yennaco, 86, of Windham, NH, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024, at the Windham Terrace.

Doug was born on June 27, 1938, to Margaret (Templeton) and Francis Yennaco. He was raised in Medford, Massachusetts, but spent much of his childhood at Cobbett's Pond in Windham, NH.

Doug attended Medford schools and went on to earn his degree from Northeastern University.

He married the love of his life, Carol Ann (Travis) and the couple built their home in Windham, NH.

Doug and his brother, took over their father's awning business and Doug later went out on his own, operating Atlantic Awning Company.  He was very involved in the Town of Windham, serving as a selectman for many years. Doug was also a member of the local Lions Club. In his free time, Doug enjoyed bowling, gardening, boating, and snowmobiling. He loved taking walks along the beach in Naples with his wife Carol, as they shared a love for sand dollars. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Doug is survived by his children, Cheryl Yennaco and her husband Mark Horton; Debby Yennaco; Jeffery Yennaco and his wife Allyson Kachanian Yennaco; his grandchildren, Max, Zack, Aidan, Jalen, Bayla, Avan, and Marah; as well as his siblings, Robert "Bob" Yennaco, Margaret Yennaco Waugh, and David Yennaco.

In addition to his parents, Doug was predeceased by his beloved wife, Carol Yennaco in 2012; and his siblings, Eunice Yennaco Boudreau and Francis Yennaco.

A Period of Visitation will be held on Monday, August 19th from 10 to 11am, with the Funeral Service at 11am, at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. Burial will follow at the Cemetery on the Plain in Windham.
