Obituary

Deborah E. "Debbie" or "Tiny" Callahan, 73, of Salem, NH passed away on Wednesday, December 20th, 2023, at her home.  Tiny was born on April 6, 1950, to Kathleen (Souza) and Paul J. McDonald. She was raised in Cambridge, MA and attended local schools. Debbie married the love of her life, Paul Callahan, and the two raised their family in Salem, NH. She went on to work as an assembler for Textron for over ten years and always had a strong work ethic.

In 1997, Tiny was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis; however, she never let it win.  She kept her body active and continued to stay busy with various activities and outings.  She was very involved with the Salem Senior Center and developed many friendships through her time spent there.  She cherished her friendships and also enjoyed trips to Foxwoods. She had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and still managed to find ways to be involved in their lives, making special memories, even with her restrictions. Tiny was headstrong, stubborn, and a true success story.  She has left her love behind, and it will continue to be shared for years to come.

Debbie is survived by her husband of 51 years, Paul Callahan; her children, Kerry Johnson and her husband, Bradley of Salem, NH, and Paul Callahan and his wife Erin, of Brentwood, NH; her grandchildren, Katherine Kwamsey, Sara Willard and her husband, Christopher, Greg Johnson and his wife Cassie, Rowen Callahan, and Wylie Callahan; her great-grandchildren, Charlie Johnson and Ellie Johnson; her sister Pamela Eisnor; her brother, Richie McDonald; several nieces and nephews; as well as many beloved friends.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Patrick Callahan; her sister, Gail McDonald; and her brother, Butchie McDonald.
