Manchester, NH

David “Dave” Allen St. Onge, 58, of Manchester, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Elliot Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on February 7, 1968, David was one of nine children born to the late Lorraine B. (Rheault) and Robert St. Onge. A lifelong Manchester resident, he attended local schools and built a life rooted in family, friendship, and helping others. Throughout the years, he worked as a laborer in many roles, including forklift operator, landscaper, and countless other jobs where his strong work ethic and willingness to lend a hand always shined through.

More than anything, David loved his family. His children meant the world to him, and checking in on them was part of his daily routine. Sometimes more than once a day, just to make sure everyone was doing okay.

David had a heart for helping people. If you needed help moving, he was there. Help mowing your lawn, he was your guy. Need someone to give you a wakeup call before the Rooster crows? That was his favorite job! He found joy in being someone others could count on, and he never hesitated to offer his time or simply his company.

He had a gift for making people smile. David could walk into any room and instantly brighten it with his infectious laugh, quick jokes, and the unforgettable. He loved listening to music, usually much louder than his daughter thought was necessary. He often found comfort, wisdom, and meaning in the lyrics of his favorite songs.

A devoted New England sports fan, David especially loved cheering on the Boston Bruins. Whether watching a game, sharing a laugh with family, or helping a neighbor, he had a way of making ordinary moments memorable.

David leaves behind his beloved daughter, Katie St. Onge-Garon and her husband, Mark Garon, of Manchester; his son, Christian St. Onge; his siblings, William St. Onge and his wife, Nancy; Denise St. Onge and her husband, Ed; Janet St. Onge; Sandy St. Onge; Jeannine St. Onge; Michelle "Shelly" St. Onge; Diana Provencher and her husband, Andrew; and Bobby St. Onge. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members who will forever cherish his kindness, humor, and generous spirit.

David's greatest legacy is not found in the work he did, but in the lives he touched. He reminded us that kindness doesn't have to be complicated, it can be as simple as showing up, making someone laugh, or offering a helping hand. He will be deeply missed, and forever carried in the hearts of those who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Manchester Mental Health of Greater Manchester or to your local recovery center. These organizations made a meaningful difference in David's life, and he would be honored to know they continue helping others in his memory.
