David
O'Hearn
Sep 21, 1958 — Apr 5, 2025
Pelham
David O'Hearn, 66 of Pelham, NH, formerly of Methuen, MA, passed away unexpectedly on April, 5th 2025.
Dave was born in Methuen and raised in Lawrence, MA, where he proudly shared his lively stories of growing up in the Lawrence Stadium Projects during the 60s and 70s.
Dave was an extremely hardworking and reputable man who famously loved the second shift. He looked forward to getting up and going to work each day, proudly and happily working six to seven days per week. He began his career at the Merrimack Paper Mill in Lawrence at 18 years old and over the years became a talented maintenance mechanic; most recently working at Ideal Tape Company in Lowell. He was a self-proclaimed handy man and loved making home projects come true to everyone in his life, from family to his neighbors.
In addition to working, he enjoyed discovering a new craft beer of his liking, although he always remained loyal to Heady Topper of Stowe, VT. Dave was a creature of habit and those close to him often enjoyed teasing him about his unique daily routines and cleaning expertise. He was a real wizard with a broom and vacuum.
Dave met his "Honey", Paula at the age of 15. They shared 47 years of marriage, 3 children and 9 grandchildren. Together, they enjoyed traveling, in which they were able to visit many bucket list places, build a family, and most recently, settle down in their newly built home in Pelham, NH. His proudest accomplishment and biggest life purpose was being a dependable father to his three children.
He was a man of few words, however Dave's infectious laugh could always fill up a room. The world did not always deal Dave a fair hand, however he learned to live his life with love and kindness, always putting others first.
In addition to his wife, Paula, he is survived by his son David O'Hearn and partner Rachel Feldman; son Ryan O'Hearn; daughter and forever daddy's girl Meaghan Conway and her husband Jeff Conway; long time daughter-in-laws Rebecca O'Hearn and Melinda O'Hearn; brothers Thomas O'Hearn, Eric O'Hearn his husband Brad Brittain and sister Carol Hollingsworth; brother-in-law Scott Despres; sister and brother-in-law Beth and Alex Silva; brother-in-law Kenneth Mahoney; and aunts Mary and Pauline O'Hearn. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Cameron, Madelynn, Victoria, Riley, Gabriella, Kendall, Patrick, Cooper and soon to be granddaughter Colette. Along with his many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is predeceased by his parents Edith and Thomas O'Hearn; mother- and father-in-law Colette and Wilfred Despres; beloved sisters Patti Breton and Nancy Mahoney; brother Brian O'Hearn and sister-in-law Barbara O'Hearn.
Family and friends are invited to gather in loving memory of Dave O'Hearn on Friday, May 2nd, 2025, from 9 AM to 11 AM, followed by a Funeral Service at 11 AM.
