David Kopp

David Allen Kopp, 70, of Kingston, NH, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at his home.

He was born on January 23, 1956, in Williamsport, PA, to the late Oliver and Margaret (Heiser) Kopp.Simply put, David was a man of many passions with an abundance of stories to share and pranks to play. After graduating from high school, David joined the Marines and served before relocating to California, sharing fond memories of piloting planes out of John Wayne Airport in Orange County. It wasn’t just a love of piloting planes; skydiving, scuba diving, fishing, and hunting were other activities he enjoyed during his life. David was also a skilled engineer, getting many projects and start-ups off the ground.

 When he was home, you would often find him in the kitchen either making one of his children’s and grandchildren’s favorites, like his mother’s famous spaghetti sauce, or creating a new dish worthy of the Food Network. He created magic with his hands, but not just with food; he was creative, planning and building additions on homes, doing the most complex puzzles, developing code for programming - the list is endless.

David brought rooms to life, whether it was his ability to instantly become a one-man band with the kitchen utensils or find a joke in any situation; he always found the joy and reminded us, “no sweat”, when it came to the small stuff. True to his favorite motto, “Ain’t no dress rehearsal”, David lived life at full volume and without holding back.

He deeply cared for his family, his three daughters, eight grandchildren, his dogs Yogi and Fozzie, and others over the years, especially Grizzly. We will miss his endless humor, lifelong curiosity, and the boundless support he showed for those he loved.David is survived by his daughters: Jessica Dumais and her husband Donald of Windham, NH, Alyssa Grazulis and her husband Jonas of Boston, MA, and Michaela Notartomaso and her husband Paul of Castle Rock, CO; grandchildren: Brooke, Luke, Cameron, Mason, Brady, McCoy, Ava, and Eli; siblings: Sharon, Shirley, Susan; his ex-wife Diana Kopp, and many members of his extended family. He is pre-deceased by his brother Oliver “Skip” III.
