David Philip "Dave" Allen, 59, of Danville, NH passed away on Wednesday, November 9th, 2022, at his home.

Dave was born on August 14, 1963, to Rita (Gibbons) and Philip Louis Allen. He was raised in Agawam and graduated from Agawam High School (1981). He went on to earn his Master's degree from Boston University in Astronomy and Physics, and Electrical Engineering. He spent many years as a Systems Engineer for Mitre Corporation more specifically he was a Three-Dimensional Expeditionary Long-Range Radar (3DELRR) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead

Dave always brought a sense of humor to the office with his cartoons, and rated things "E" for Engineering.

In his spare time, Dave enjoyed cooking, gardening, and couponing. He was a big supporter of the Boston University Ice Hockey team. He was known for his love of candy and many refrigerator magnets. Dave loved his family and his dog, Badger (obviously a Boston Terrier).

He is survived by his wife, Sheila Allen; his daughter, Izzy Allen of Danville, NH; his son, Cameron Allen and his wife Amber of New Smyrna Beach, FL; his grandson, Chayce Allen; and his siblings, Arlene Lane and her husband Jim of Feeding Hills, MA, Doug Allen and his wife Janet of Long Meadow, MA, and Bob Allen of Agawam, MA.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 15th from 10-11am, with a funeral service to follow at 11am, at the Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main Street, Agawam, MA 01001. Burial will follow at the Springfield Street Cemetery in Feeding Hills, MA.
