David
Burrill
Aug 11, 1951 — May 2, 2026
Salem
David Burrill, 74, of Salem, NH, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026, with strength of his faith and his family by his side. He was born on August 11, 1951, to the late Robert Burrill Sr. and Phyllis (Richards), in Brighton, MA.
David was the devout husband of Laurel, with whom he shared 44 years of marriage. He was an avid sports enthusiast, as a player, coach and fan. He discovered a passion for golf later in life, taking up the game after playing on his honeymoon. A sport that brought him lifelong friends and enormous joy.
David had a successful career in Sales. However, family is what truly meant everything to him. Cherished memories are times they spent together. Camping trips with friends and in-laws, grandchildren playing in the yard and splashing in the swimming pool, backyard campfires, pizza/movie nights, holiday dinners, Super Bowl parties, and the annual family reunion on Lake Winnisquam.
An avid reader, David especially enjoyed history and nonfiction. Long before the internet, he was the family's go-to source for sports trivia—particularly when it came to Boston teams in basketball, football, hockey, and baseball. His love of music extended to many genres. He was an active member of the Pleasant Street United Methodist Church, in Salem, NH.
In addition to his wife Laurel, David is survived by their children: David Burrill Jr., and his wife Heidi, of Milford, MA, Christopher Burrill, and his wife Melissa, of Glendale, AZ, Jesse Burrill, and his wife Dakota, of Derry, NH, Lindsay Spieler, and her husband Zach, of Hampstead, NH, and Alex Burrill, and his partner Megan, of Manchester, NH; his siblings: Robert Burrill Jr., and his wife Joanne, of Brighton, MA, Kathleen Falter, of Brighton, MA, Patricia Dargan, and her husband Thomas, of Mashpee, MA, and Debra Franks, and her husband Michael, of Harwich, MA; his grandchildren: Alex, David, Cara, Kyle, Alexa, Ethan, Reese, Rosalie, Willow, Lyla, and Nolan; his brother and sister-in-laws: Gary Crosby, Candace Crosby, William Crosby, and James Crosby.
In addition to his parents, David is predeceased by his brothers: Gerald Burrill and Richard Burrill.
Friends and family are invited to Calling hours on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Pleasant Street United Methodist Church, 8 Pleasant Street, Salem, NH.
