Darryl Ann Butterfield of Londonderry, NH, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2026. After a short illness faced with her trademark grace, she has gone to join her parents, Arthur and Lillian (Woods) Butterfield, and a reception of her many beloved cats. Throughout her life and her recent illness, Darryl remained the heart of her family, always surrounded by their love and devotion.

Raised in Windham back when it was just a small town, Darryl grew up in a tight-knit circle of aunts, uncles, and cousins—a bond she never outgrew even as the world around her got bigger. Her long and varied career eventually led her to Macy's, where she worked until her retirement in 2016.

Darryl was best known for her "airy" spirit and a sense of timing that could only be described as unique. She was a master of the conversational curveball, most notably dropping her signature phrase, "I'm so full," at holiday meals with such peculiar timing that it never failed to catch her family off guard.

When she wasn't keeping people on their toes with her wit, she was usually on the move. Darryl and her cousin Kathleen shared a special bond and were a frequent duo on the local scene, always off on a car ride or enjoying a meal out together.

She is survived by her sister, Rena (Don) Bourassa, and a legacy of cousins including Dennis (Catherine), Timothy (Sharon), and Gary (Hazel) Butterfield, as well as a cherished niece and nephew.

Darryl lived a life full of spark, and she will be deeply missed. Her family is certain she is currently catching up with old friends.
