Daniel James Sylvester, 69, of Haverhill, MA, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at the Aspen Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. He was born on July 19, 1955, in Lawrence, MA, to Mary (Moreau) Sylvester and was the son of Danny Sullivan .
Daniel was raised in Lawrence and was one of seven children. 2 survive, Helen and Debbie. After receiving his GED, he began his long and fulfilling career as a laundry technician with his brother Charlie Sylvester at Mary Immaculate Nursing Home in Lawrence.
After meeting and marrying his former wife, Debra, the two moved to Derry, NH. It was during this time that Daniel poured himself into helping raise Debra 's son, Eric A McCollum, whom he loved as his own.
In his free time, Daniel was an avid supporter of all things Boston Sports. He was a frequent viewer of the Red Sox and Patriots and prided himself with "really knowing" the game and its players.
Daniel is survived by his former wife of 29 years and beloved friend, Debra (Sylvester) Clarke; his grandson, Tyce Collins; two beloved nieces Laura and Christine, who he loved, Carter his nephew and his lifelong friends of many years from Salem NH and his church home, Granite United Church.
In addition to his parents and many of his siblings, Daniel was predeceased by his stepson Eric A. McCollum. Charles Sylvester, Henry Sylvester and others.
