Obituary

It is with immense sorrow that the family of Daniel J. Keleher, Sr. announces his passing on July 12, 2023.

Daniel was born in Massachusetts and was the son of James A. and Anna B. Keleher. Daniel attended Central Catholic High School and earned a degree from NECC. He was an Engineer for 40+ years. Daniel was a lifelong resident of Salem, NH.

Daniel had a lifelong passion for baseball and was a dedicated coach and mentor. He spent countless hours coaching Salem Youth Little League during the 1970s and 1980s and, as his children grew, took up coaching Salem Babe Ruth for many years. He impacted the lives of many young players, and his family is grateful for his commitment and dedication to the sport for almost 50 years.

During his retirement, Daniel spent time traveling and enjoyed his bi-annual Disney trips with his entire family. He was also a regular attendee of Salem High School's football and basketball games, and in the springtime, he would be found at his son's varsity baseball games, where he was the scorekeeper. Daniel was happiest when surrounded by his family and enjoyed gathering for their weekly Pizza Fridays. His children and their families alone totaled 27!

If you had the pleasure of knowing Dan, you would have undoubtedly appreciated his sharp sense of humor. His absence will be felt greatly. For those who knew him, take this moment to share your favorite "Dan'ism" and raise a toast in his honor. We will always love you, Dan (Dad and Grandpa).

Daniel leaves behind his adoring wife of nearly 60 years, Nina, and his beloved children, Kevin Keleher and his wife, Sherri, Karen Bagshaw and her husband Brian, Daniel Keleher, Jr. and his wife Susan, Ryan Keleher and his wife Amy, Anne Rees and her husband Neale. He also leaves behind his many grandchildren, Matthew, Lauren, Christopher, Paige, Colleen Anna, Katherine Alice, Andrew, Kolby, Mary Margaret, Kyle, Elizabeth, Kayla, Dylan, and two great-grandchildren, John and Hadley. Daniel is also survived by his brother Eddie and his wife Glenna.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 from 4-7 PM at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Rd, Windham, NH. Funeral services will be private for the family.
