Constance "Connie" M. Godbout 67, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Holy Family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born April 11, 1955 in Methuen, MA she was the daughter of the late John F and M. Constance (Carroll) Troy. She was raised and educated in Lawrence, MA attending St. Rita's Grammar School and graduated from St. Mary's High School class of 1973. She went on to study dental assisting at Lawrence Vocational tech. She worked as a dental assistant for her entire career.
Connie and her husband Buddy were long time residents of Atkinson NH where they built their house and raised their family. She was a member of St. Anne's Parish in Hampstead, and Holy Angels Parish in Plaistow where she was an active member of the youth formation. She was also a founding member of Cool Street. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend she lived for spending time with her friends and family and shamelessly spoiling her grandchildren.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Buddy, whom she was married to for 44 years, daughters Lauren Bergeron and her husband Adam and Jessica Godbout all of Atkinson NH, son Mark Godbout of Salisbury, MA and her four grandchildren Gabriel, Luca, Teagan, and Willa. Brother William Troy and his wife Karen of Melbourne FL, sister Kathleen and her husband Michael Lawrence of Derry, NH and sister in law Elizabeth Troy of Atkinson, NH and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers John D. Troy of Atkinson NH and Thomas Troy of Derry, NH .
Connie's family would like to thank her care team at Dartmouth Hitchcock's Norris Cotton Cancer Center for the excellent care they provided.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Monday January 2nd from 4-7 PM at Carrier Funeral Home, 38 Range Rd, Windham, NH. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 3rd at 10:30 AM in St. Anne's Church, Emerson Ave Hampstead, NH. Burial will take place at Atkinson Cemetery in the spring.
