Charles "Charlie" J. Sharpe, of Pelham, New Hampshire, passed away on November 6, 2023, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, New Hampshire while surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 10, 1949, in Boston, Massachusetts, to Charles and Dorothy (Bardon) Sharpe.
Charlie grew up in Portland, Maine, where he later worked in the Sheriff's Department as a Forensic Photographer. After moving to New Hampshire, he worked in retail and even went on to open P.I.P's Jewelry and Gifts in Salem. In addition to owning and operating his own business, Charlie participated in Blackjack horse training, and enjoyed working with the difficult horses.
In his free time, Charlie was a roller-skating instructor, a gun collector, a recreational boater, and an avid CD collector. Above all else, Charlie adored spending time with his family, who he raised mainly in Pelham, with his loving wife of 58 years. He will be remembered for his bright red hair, his dance moves, and his devotion to all those whom he loved.
Charlie is survived by the love of his life, Cynthia "Cindy" A. (McDonald) Sharpe as well as his children, Christopher and his wife Julie Sharpe, of Windham, Jeff and his wife Denise, of Pelham, and Tim and his wife Kim, of Hampstead; his grandchildren, Kyle and his partner Jen, Stephanie and her husband Evan, Chelby, Adam , Zack and Jared; his great-grandchildren Carson and Cole; his long-time friend Maryanne and her children, J.B. and Richard; as well as Callie the dog.
In addition to his parents, Charlie was predeceased by his longtime friend, Judd.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023, from 3-5pm at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, New Hampshire. A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 5pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hospice House, Home Health and Hospice, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, New Hampshire. Donations may also be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
