Carrie A. Lavallee

Carrie A. Lavallee, 52, of Methuen, MA, passed away comfortably, quietly and peacefully on Monday, September 28, 2026, at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, MA, with her husband by her side. She was born on March 26, 1974, to John (“Bo”) and Eileen (Faucher) Higginbottom in Lawrence, MA.

Carrie earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice at UMass Lowell. She worked in Retail Banking since 1990, first at Lawrence Savings Bank, followed by over 21 years at TD Bank as Vice President, Store Manager.

With a loving and caring heart, Carrie always had time for and provided assistance to her friends and family. She served the local community as an active member of the Exchange Club of Methuen, MA since 2013, serving as president for two terms.

Carrie loved sports and any competition in general, enjoyed playing cards and faithfully watched many reality shows, movies and NFL football games. She also loved dogs and sunsets, enjoyed boat rides on Arlington Pond in Salem NH, going to the movies and making occasional visits to casinos, where she frequently won. During her time at Lawrence High School, she was a skilled and very successful fast pitch softball pitcher. She played on the varsity softball team for all four of her high school years and pitched one no-hitter.

Carrie’s love of travel brought her places that others only dreamed of. She especially loved Ireland, traveling there three times between 2014 and 2025. She enjoyed a recent tradition of celebrating her birthday in Florida with close family over the past three years. Her well earned vacations also took her to New York City, Niagara Falls, Albany and Buffalo, NY, Philadelphia, Las Vegas, Hawaii, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New Orleans, Nashville, Atlanta, Newport, RI, Old Orchard Beach, ME, The Grand Canyon, Montréal, Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio, Aruba, St. Thomas, Italy, Liverpool and, most recently, London, England where she walked across Abbey Road. 

Her love of a diverse variety of live music concerts and comedy shows is what first brought her and her husband together in late 2000. Together, they saw Jon Bon Jovi 54 times and Paul McCartney 45 times in the United States, Canada and England, also personally meeting both musicians. In addition, she attended many many shows by Pearl Jam (her other favorite), The Monkees, Fuel, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Ringo Starr, Luke Bryan, Billy Idol, Blake Shelton, U2, Keith Urban, Cher, Bruce Springsteen, Barenaked Ladies, Gilbert O’Sullivan, Garth Brooks, Ingrid Michaelson, Bret Michaels, Liz Phair, The Foo Fighters, Pink, Tesla, The Rolling Stones, John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band, Rick Springfield, Brett Young, Van Halen, Neil Diamond, KISS, Robin Williams, Adam Sandler, Sebastian Maniscalco, Jimmy Fallon and local favorites Kevin Knox and Bob Marley. In recent years, she looked forward to attending the annual Brett Eldredge Christmas concert and the Comics Come Home fundraising show in Boston. 

Carrie always looked forward to making cookies for the holidays and hosting Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas and annual Super Bowl parties for many years. She loved cooking and trying new recipes. Her specialties included her calzones, pizza, chicken salad, pepper steaks and macaroni and cheese. She was a frequent patron of Cristy’s Pizza at Salisbury Beach and rented a beachfront cottage there many times over the past decade. 

In addition to her mother, Carrie is survived by her loving husband, Ronald T. Lavallee, Jr. of Methuen, MA; her cousin and trusted confidant, who she considered a brother, Joey Faucher and his partner Nick Sylvester of Salem, NH; her stepson, Michael Lavallee of Haverhill, MA as well as many, many friends and family members. Carrie is predeceased by her beloved canine pal, Teddie and her Sheltie, Patches.

Friends and family are invited to Calling Hours on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 5, 2026, at 11:00 AM, at Saint Patrick Church, 118 S Broadway, Lawrence, MA 01843. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Haverhill, MA.
