Carol J. Wheaton, 88, formerly of Burlington, MA, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Hillsbrook Village, in Allenstown, NH. She was born on December 5, 1935, to the late Robert H. and Beverly A. (Perry) Foster, in Woburn, MA.

Known for her great work ethic, Carol was committed to her profession as a Register Nurse for Lahey Clinic, in Burlington, MA. The only thing she was more committed to was her family and raising her 5 children. Carol was known for her extraordinary family gatherings and her love for cooking and baking. At Christmas, each family member was sure to receive a personalized hand-made ornament from Carol, with a special note tucked inside with it. Above all, she will be remembered by all as a generous and loving Mother, Grandmother, and Friend.

Carol is survived by her children: Guy Wheaton, and his wife Robyn, of Amherst, NH, James Wheaton, of Tewksbury, MA, Debra Wheaton, of Manchester, NH, Carol Ludwig, and her husband Dave, of Manchester, NH, and Patti Cabone, and her husband Michael, of North Easton, MA, her sister: Elzabeth "Betty" Regan, of Wilmington, MA, as well as 6 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Carol is predeceased by her husband: Harold Wheaton Jr.; and her siblings: Robert Foster, and Joyce O'Malley.

Friends and family are invited to Calling Hours on Friday, June 14, 2024, from 10-11 AM, at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. A Funeral Service will begin at 11 AM, at the funeral home. Interment will take place at a later date at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, in Boscawen, NH.
