Carl N. Turner, 74, of Raymond, NH, passed away on Wednesday, April 1st, 2026, at the Mease Countryside Hospital in Safety Harbor, Florida.
He was born and raised in Medford, Massachusetts, and went on to attend the local vocational high school to pursue a career as a CNC Machinist. Carl began his career at BLH, and spent many years at MKS Instruments in Lawrence, MA. In total, he was a machinist for over 40 years. He was devoted to his work and worked hard to provide for his family.
Carl married Margaret "Peg" Donahue on November 20, 1987 and the couple made their home in Salem, NH. He was a family man, loving time spent with his wife and daughter, Meredith. He especially loved going on ski trips with Meredith. Carl also enjoyed being a part of a Thursday night bowling league at Park Place Lanes for many years. Carl also served as the Girl's Softball Coach in Salem for a few years, while his daughter Meredith played. Carl was a parishioner, served as a Eucharistic Minister, and supported his wife's ministry at St. Matthew's Parish in Windham.
Following his retirement, Carl and Peg moved to Clearwater, FL and enjoyed the west Florida coast.
Carl was a kind and gentle man, who was always willing to help others. He will be incredibly missed by those who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Peg Donahue-Turner; his daughter, Meredith Turner; his sister, Ruth Fiser; his sister-in-law, Linda Ditomasso; his niece and nephew; as well as great nieces and nephews; and his close friend from high school, Stephen Hawko.
Carl was predeceased by his father, Carroll Turner; his mother, Phyllis Nellson Turner; and his brother-in-law, Edmund DiTomasso.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 10 am, at St. Matthew's Church, 2 Searles Road, Windham, NH 03087. Burial will immediately follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Raymond, NH.
Memorial donations may be made to Salem Animal Rescue League (SARL)https://www.sarlnh.org/donate, as he always had a special place in his heart for his dogs, Daisy and Donnelly.
