Brian Alvin Holt, 68, of Merrimack, NH passed away on Friday morning, August 19th, 2022 at his home.
He was born on June 5, 1954 to Virginia (Kearn) and James E. Holt Sr. Brian was raised in Pelham, NH, attended local schools, and graduated from Alvirne High School. He spent the majority of his career working for Space Optics as an Optician.
In his youth, he played the drums in the Spartan and Starlighters Bugle & Drum Corps. His love for music carried on throughout his life, often singing and playing the piano. Brian was a true family man and an outdoorsman at heart, enjoying hours fly fishing and angling and sharing his hobby with anyone who would go along. He also was an extreme skier and mountaineer. He created countless memories for his children, grandchildren and family through his music and outdoor adventures.
He was jovial, kind and giving; always the life of the party. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
Brian is survived by his children, Matthew Holt and his wife Eva of NV, Kimberly Holt of NV, Amy Gogna and her husband Shaun of NV, and Shawna Holt of VA; his grandchildren, Matthew, Jordyn, Lily, Cassie, James, Ace, Devyn, Christian, and Colton; his siblings, Gerry Holt of Plaistow, NH, Rebecca George and her husband Barry of Windham, NH, Robert Holt and his wife Lisa of Woodstock, VT, Frank Holt of Rochester, NH, Virginia Ravenelle of Derry, NH, and David Holt and his fiancé Shay of Pelham, NH; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 24th from 3-5pm at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 5pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trout Unlimited, PO Box 98166, Washington, DC 20090.
