Bonnie L. Canfield, 56, of Windham, NH passed away on Thursday morning, March 21, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She is now at rest after a difficult yet short battle with ALS.
She was born on October 2, 1967, to Susan (Terry) and John Castro. Bonnie spent most of her childhood in Center Harbor, NH. She began her career of helping others, working for Stewart's Ambulance Service and Lakes Region Mutual Fire Aid. Bonnie went on to work as a phlebotomist for Concord Hospital for the next fifteen years. She moved to Florida for a year--before returning home to New Hampshire and working at Catholic Medical Center. She was well loved by both her patients and her coworkers.
Bonnie enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and bowling in various leagues. She was a lifelong Boston sports fan. She enjoyed trips to Florida to visit family and friends. Most of all she loved spending time with her beloved grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Whitney Lazzaro and her husband Matthew of Derry, NH; Nolan Canfield and his wife Yu, of Hawaii; her grandchildren, Asami Canfield, Ava, Rowan and Charli Lazarro; her father, John Castro; her sisters, Jill Piper and her significant other Mike Pisiello and Jennifer Hollis and her husband Dallas; her brother, Glen Morrill and his significant other Sara Karr; several nieces and nephews; as well as her good friends, Cindy Messier, John Pattee, and Mark Manson.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, March 26th from 9:30am to 10:30am at the Carrier Family Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will take place at 10:30am at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Cemetery on the Plain in Windham. Colorful attire warmly welcome.
