Beverly "Lal" A. (Mackenzie) Meuse, 90, longtime resident of Windham, NH, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Beverly was born on May 30, 1933, to the late Lorimer and Della (Astle) Mackenzie.
Cobbetts Pond in Windham was a very special place to Beverly. She enjoyed her childhood summers, met her future husband, and lived the last 35 years of her life on Cobbetts Pond.
Beverly was raised in Wakefield, MA and graduated from Wakefield High School. After receiving her BS in Accounting from Bentley University, Beverly worked in accounting at Harvard University Press, Salem Building Supply and Donabedian Brothers. She and her husband later owned P.S. Meuse Construction followed by Island Pond Mobil in Derry, NH. Beverly made many friends while serving their loyal customer base. Her favorite vacation spots included Tortola Island in the British Virgin Islands and her family house in Placida, Florida.
Beverly is survived by her loving husband Phillip S. Meuse; her sons Curtis Meuse and his wife Nina Shumofsky of Rockville, MD, Derek Meuse and his wife Pamela Curtis of Princeton, NJ, and Brett Meuse of Windham, NH; her grandchildren Jack and Kate; her sister Marion Dinsmore and her husband George; her brother Murdoch Mackenzie and Marilyn Allen; her sister-in-law Mary Jane Mackenzie. She had many cherished nieces and nephews. Beverly was predeceased by her brother Lorimer Mackenzie Jr. She will also be missed by her beloved basset hound, Abby.

A memorial service and celebration of Beverly's life will be held at the Searles School and Chapel, 3 Chapel Rd, Windham, NH on June 1st at 11:00 am with visiting hours at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) or the New Hampshire Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (www.nhspca.org/donate-today/).
