Windham – Bertrand J. Goudreault, 88, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2024, at the Wyndham Terrace Assisted Living Home.  He was born on October 28, 1935, in Manchester and was the son of the late Leopold and Fabiola (Dionne) Goudreault.

Bert was known and respected for his tremendous work ethic and deep dedication to those he loved most – his family.  He spent 20+ years as a Jackhammer Operator for the Manchester Highway Department where he proudly worked in service to the city he was born and raised in.  Although he did not have any children of his own, he considered his two nieces and two nephews his "kids" and was immensely proud of his ten great nieces and nephews and four great-great nieces and nephews.

In his spare time, he could be found walking 4-8 miles a day, in addition to swimming and lifting weights.  He had a keen interest and knowledge in politics and world affairs.  He also enjoyed travelling to the sunny beaches of Florida where he cherished fond memories with his friends and family.

He is survived by his two nieces: Genia Douidi and her husband Allen, Jennefer Tomi-Odufuwa and her husband Tomi;  his two nephews: Gordon Cunningham and Bert Cunningham and his wife Heather; his ten great nieces and nephews: Sarah, Faith, Brier, Elijah, Anya, Mary, Amar, Haley, Xavier and Xander; his four great-great nieces and nephews: Logan, Samuel, Athena and Meredith.

In addition to his parents, Bert was predeceased by his brother: Lucien Goudreault; his sisters: Jean Goudreault and Irene Cunningham.

A candle lighting ceremony will be held on Monday, April 8, 2024 from 10:00-10:30 at the Sisters of the Precious Blood Monastery, 700 Bridge Street, Manchester.  A prayer service will immediately follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Road, Manchester.  There is no burial.  To share a memory or offer a condolence please visit www.carrierfuneralhome.com.
