Barbara E. Markowski, 74, long time resident of Salem, NH passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023 at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill MA surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on August 16, 1948 to Anna Lorraine (O'Brien) and John Charles Watkevich.  Barbara was raised in Chelsea, MA attending St. Rose Schools.  After graduation she went to Bay State Community College where she earned her Associates Degree.  After graduation she worked at Brigham and Women's Hospital for more 30 years.  After leaving the hospital, Barbara worked for a private practice with Dr. Anne Loosmann in Derry NH.  She retired in 2011 to spend time with her family and her cherished fur babies.

Barbara is survived by Joseph Markowski, her husband of 33 years; her son Christopher Hebert, Sr, his wife Audrey and grandchildren Katharynne and Christopher Jr. of Glocester, RI.  She also leaves her stepson Jonathan Markowski of Bridgewater, MA, her sister Ann Ryan Bieber and husband Harold Bieber of Salem NH, and many nieces and nephews behind.
