Barbara E. Churchill, 81, of Methuen, MA, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024, at Boston Medical Center, with her family by her side. She was born on December 12, 1942, to the late John and Theresa (Clarke) Lawrence, in Lawrence, MA

Barbara spent her career working as a school administrator for the Methuen Public Schools. Even upon her retirement, she continued to stay involved in the school system, serving for many years as a treasurer of the retiree association. Barbara would work the polling stations for many elections.

In her free time Barbara was always sure to find time to socialize over coffee or dinner with her friends. Barbara  had attended the annual family Christmas Eve party every year of her life. She also looked forward to gathering every year to watch the Superbowl. Above all, Barbara enjoyed her time spent with her many loving grandchildren, and especially her two great-granddaughters the most.

Barbara is survived by her children, Shaun Churchill of Salem, NH, and Barbi Lavoie and her husband Eric of Litchfield, NH; her grandchildren, Colby Churchill, Brenna Sirois, Allison Churchill and her fiancé Nicholas Violette, Hannah Gerardi, and Brady Gerardi; her great-granddaughters, Ava and Layla; and her sister-in-law, Susan Lawrence.  Many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother: Jack Lawrence.

Friends and family are invited to Calling Hours on Thursday, September 26, 2024, from 9-11 AM, at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. A Funeral Service will follow, beginning at 11 AM, at the funeral home. Interment will take place at a later date, at the Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen, MA.
