In Memoriam of Asha Kishore Sonde October 1, 1943 - December 11, 2023

Asha Kishore Sonde, daughter of the late Sadashiv and Parvathi Salgar, was born and raised in India.

A former NCC Cadet, she was a vibrant, bubbly and active lady who excelled in whatever she set her mind to do. She married Kishore Sonde in 1966 and enjoyed traveling both within India as well as abroad. She was a deeply spiritual person and an ardent devotee of Taki Maharaj, Gajanan Maharaj and Sri Sathya Sai Baba. She was an active member of the Sri Sathya Sai Baba Samithi in Mumbai and Houston, TX.

Her love for the welfare of others spurred her to be an active volunteer for the Dharmakshetra Eye Hospital in Mumbai serving the unprivileged by participating in numerous optometric camps in and around the Mumbai area.

She emigrated to the United States in 2013 and continued to be active in service activities organized by the Sathya Sai Centers of Houston. She was full of life and lived every moment to the fullest participating in every activity, singing bhajans, dancing, bowling, playing cards, cooking, and watching movies. She was a huge fan of cricket and English action movies.

A loving mother, mother-in-law and grandmother, Asha is survived by her 2 children and their spouses and 4 grandchildren. She will be much missed by family and friends alike.

Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours from 10 AM to 11 AM, followed by a funeral services starting at 11 AM to 12 PM at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Rd, Windham, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations in Asha's memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
