Arthur E. Norton, 95, of Londonderry, NH, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Parkland Medical Center, with his family by his side. He was born on April 23, 1930, to the late Edward and Wilma (Perkins) Norton, in Lowell, MA.
After growing up in Lowell, Arthur joined the U.S. Navy, serving as an electrician on the USS Tarawa, a CV-40 aircraft carrier. In 1975, after his time in the service, Arthur decided to call New Hampshire his home. Later in life, Arthur met the love of his life, Ruth Ann (Aubrey). Together, they enjoyed traveling all over the country in their travel trailer. They often took cross country trips including Florida, and Arizona. When they weren't taking long trips, Arthur and Ruth Ann invited their grandchildren on camping trips locally. In recent years, Arthur enjoyed playing golf with his NE Telephone Co. league, and poker with his friends at their community.
In addition to his loving wife, Arthur is survived by his children: Kathy Lezinsky, of Orlando, FL, Karen Hayden, and her husband Shawn of Nashua, NH, Patricia Paquette, and her husband Danny, of Lowell, MA, and Edward Norton, and his late wife Susan, of Lowell, MA; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; as well as many friends and neighbors.
In addition to his parents, Arthur is predeceased by his brother: Warren Norton.
Friends and family are invited to Calling Hours, on Sunday, May 11, 2025, from 2-5 PM, at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, May 12, 2025, at 12:30 PM. Interment will follow at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH 03303. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306 or t2t.org.
