Arnold "Arnie" M. Julin, 89, of Salem, NH, formerly of Sanbornville, NH, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025, at Parkland Medical Center in Derry.
Arnold was born on December 23, 1936, to the late Arnold S. and Elsie (Williams) Julin in Milton, NH. He was raised in Milton and graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor's Degree in Forestry. Following graduation, Arnold proudly served in the United States Army as a Medic.
He worked for 32 years as a contaminant specialist for the U.S. Department of Interior. His love of the outdoors did not end on the job, as he loved to fish, hunt, garden, cut wood and experiencing nature in any manner that he could. Arnold was also a fraternity brother of Alpha Gamma Rho. While attending UNH, he played guitar in a band and always enjoyed country music.
Arnold is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Carolee (Bishop) Julin; his children Susan Hammond and her husband David of Pawcatuck, CT, Cheryl Whiteneck and her husband Robert of Salem, NH, and Tom Julin and his wife Jackie of Rindge, NH; his grandchildren Daniel, Nicholas, Zachary, Shane and his wife Jesseca, Rhys, and Wynn; his great-grandchildren Andrea and Violet; his brother Gwyn Julin and his wife Helen; and several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his grandson Justin and his sister Eunice Wegge and her husband Dennis.
